Carrie Hurst performs in Centre College Orchestra concert

Carrie Hurst of Mount Vernon, a junior at Centre College, performed in the Centre Orchestra fall concert Nov. 19. The concert was held in Newlin Hall in the College's Norton Center for the Arts with conductor Steven Pederson.

Hurst played viola in a program that included pieces by Mussorgsky, Franck, Brahms, and Rachmaninov.

She is the daughter of Roger and Marily Meckstroth Hurst of Mount Vernon and is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School.
